Thanks to the animal husbandry project in the Gambia more than 840 families in 90 villages started to own around 2144 sheep and goats in 2 years. We gifted the animals to the families on the condition that they will not sell them for 3 years and will gift one of every two offspring to another family.
All processes of this project is monitored by local governors and SEN DE GEL volunteer working in the field.
We vaccinate the animals 3 months before and after their delivery to the families. We aim to spread animal husbandry project around the Gambia.
